Jarett is a graduate of North Carolina State University who majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors College in 2014 with Dean’s List accolades every semester. He is a race car driver, having competed in Go-Karts, Formula 2000, USAC Midgets, Sprint Cars, Silver Crown cars, Supermodifieds & Grand Am Rolex Series. Jarett’s awards are numerous, including 2013 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year, 2012 Supermodified Rookie of the Year, 2011 USAC Eastern Ignite Midget Pavement Champion, 2010 TaG Go-Kart Champion, and the 2014 USAC National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year. In this interview, Jarett shares some of the realities of going into the Race Driving field including the challenges of sponsorships, sales, and the very important trait of “persistence”.
